Still one of my favourite houses: the fourth picture of the upstairs lightwell / cut in the structure just absolutely captivates me.  I suspect this is the master bedroom and a bathroom, and two outdoor spaces.  Chiba Manabu’s other work is just simple and his massing in a lot of new work seems to highlight his ability to turn interior volumes upside down.  A recurring style-note is the fastening of railings to hanging interior volumes which creates unique divisions in space.
